The visit has been absolutely spectacular!
From the moment we arrived and our lucky spots of a leopard and black rhino on the way to the lodge to waking up to a herd of 16 elephants at the water hole.
Our experience has been.
Thanks to Godfrey for his Sommelier skills & his insight on South African culture!
Also to Dinamosi & Remember who gave us the drive of our life when we encountered a baby elephant nearing us on the side of the road, shortly followed by his charging mama!
The food singing and hospitality has been second to none!

The cuisine could really match the standard of the whole lodge, the food was amazing. Housekeeping was perfect, and game drives, brilliant with our personal entertainers. The main lodge was wonderfully interesting and stunning, loved all the different places to have meals. Accommodation was sumptuous and very peaceful. Service was fantastic, cuisine a new experience every day, wonderful! Housekeeping, very discreet and immaculate, loved the poems on the pillows. The game drives were exciting, educating, entertaining and enthralling, with clearly two of the best in the business. Thank you Dinamosi and Remember! Massages were wonderfully relaxing and in the best setting. Management was very hospitable and competent. The staff was excellent, friendly and always looked lovely, happy, entertaining and very attentive. The highlight would be the game drives and the cuisine and our arrival to such a wonderful place.

We could not have asked for more, the service on every level, the food was beyond words and there is a definite awareness for attention to detail. I am a strict vegetarian and my needs were surpassed. After nearly two weeks of viewing properties it, with mixed results it was an absolute pleasure to stay at Royal Madikwe. You’re in a league of your own. The lodge is beautiful well laid out and great facilities, but there are many beautiful lodges. What makes Royal so special is the outstanding service from each and every single person we came into contact with. The game drives with Francois who has great inter personal skills and Remember who was also interactive and great tracking skills made drives a pleasure. Our children Ross and Michael did not utter a word when leaving the other properties we visited on this trip. But as Megan heard they voiced their disappointment at having to leave Royal Madikwe. They loved beading with Megan, and T-shirt painting. Francois and Megan, thank you for having us over these last 2 days, you made us feel so welcome. Your hospitality is heart warming and we had a wonderful time. It was a magical experience we shall never forget.

Dear Royal Family, the Clairmont’s had an incredible time at Royal Madikwe, from the musical welcome to the delicious food, breakfast through to diner and the safari drives. Such wonderful warm people and service, management, staff and guide were incredibly kind and generous. We felt so lucky to find ourselves surrounded by a journey of giraffe, and a pride of lions devouring their kill. And I was especially dazzled by the zebras. Thanks to all for your thoughtful ideas for Cece, she loved her bedtime stories, cookies and safari pack with the foot print guide etc., lions on a kill.

I cannot believe we got to stay at Royal Madikwe on our first trip to South Africa. Everything and everybody exceeded our expectations. The people are nice and warm people and you have perfect wines. Coming back from game drives, which were unbelievably nice and coming back to a nice warm fire in the main lodge. All the animals in the wild are unforgettable. What great touches while reading Stijn his bedtime stories left on his pillow with cookies and warm milk? Hopefully he will remember all of this from the T-shirt painting, and the child friendly/ warm staff. We are going to another lodge, but doubt whether it can be better then here. We will keep all the memories in our hearts and I sincerely hope to be back again.

I cannot believe we got to stay at Royal Madikwe on our first trip to South Africa. Everything and everybody exceeded our expectations. The people are nice and warm people and you have perfect wines. Coming back from game drives, which were unbelievably nice and coming back to a nice warm fire in the main lodge. All the animals in the wild are unforgettable. What great touches while reading Stijn his bedtime stories left on his pillow with cookies and warm milk? Hopefully he will remember all of this from the T-shirt painting, and the child friendly/ warm staff. We are going to another lodge, but doubt whether it can be better then here. We will keep all the memories in our hearts and I sincerely hope to be back again.

I am going to write s full page article in the German Journal “touristic aktuall” that will be sent to about 8000 German travel agencies. So I hope you will get a lot of German guests in the future; thanks for a great experience. Thank you so much for this outstanding experience. I will never forget Royal Madikwe that for sure and I will tell all my friends as well as readers, let them know what they are going to miss out on if they don’t visit you.

This is once in a life time stay (but hopefully not). Such a dedicated and passionate, warm team, so young and so professional already. We got treated like royal family and spoilt thoroughly. Everyone was extremely helpful, warm ad friendly. The lodge and accommodation is very stylish, and comfortable. Service, no wish goes unfilled and the cuisine us yummy. Well, what can I say? This has been the most fantastic experience, not only have we had informative and enjoyable game drives, but we have been thoroughly spoilt here at Royal Madikwe. ALL the staff here are complete stars; so helpful and lovely. The food has been delicious although I am a little upset that my home made burgers have been rejected as the children tried those here! The children have been treated like royalty here and have had a brilliant time; I hope they don’t expect the same treatment at home. . . .
All in all I do not want to leave and am writing with tears in my eyes! I do hope we will return some day soon.
